Many years ago, we gathered at Springfield Baptist Church on Swoopes Quarters in Columbus, Mississippi to celebrate those who have gone before us; our ancestors Ben & Georgeann who made their home in Lowndes County, Mississippi in 1870 and members of their families from then to now.
According to the Virginia and Mississippi census report of 1870 there were five families of Fishers that moved from Virginia to Mississippi. It is our belief that they were all related. (Years in age)
